Its labels are quoted here exactly as written: *Tigers Eye*, with no apostrophe, on the eye; *Pentagon Shoes* on the five-sided feet; and the caption, *Cinnamon the Horse (who Lives on Mars)*. Of the ten animals in the set, only two hold a recognizable weapon: this horse's dagger and the Rabbit's acorn grenade. On the board's animal column, the Horse's own cell holds a photograph of a rearing horse against a red-orange sky, on the red row. The cell that labels that row, A749, is itself a key: its address opens a room called *Dad's Wooden Horse*, a scan of an antique pull-toy horse. ## What the station does **Force before a warrior.** The emanation page's line at 5 is *Whirling energy of nature*: Crowley's words, with "GOD is concealed in the" removed. Before it is a warrior, the Horse is force. The rest of the sheet agrees: Mars is written into the caption and held in one hand, the shoes have five sides at the fifth seat, and the blade sits at the seat of severity. **A child, and what came before it.** Coming down, the Horse's line is *generations had gone by*. Going up, it is *the child became a warrior*, surrounded by serpents who smile with swords in their mouths. Across both of the board's poems, these read as the only two lines in which a subject turns into something else: this one, and the Rabbit's descending *I woke up in my shadow*. The two lines come from opposite directions of travel, but the stations share more. They are the only two with pet names, Cinnamon and Lemon, and the only two figures holding weapons. A sweet name on an armed body, twice, at the two places where a self is said to change. In the Golden Dawn scheme the seat's archangel is Kamael; the caption keeps Mars for the address and gives the horse a name someone might give a pony.  *"Roy's Lost Darkness Poem Ascending", a Hall of Mirrors screenshot of the board's "AI musical scale", ten coloured bands from F to B. Laid over it is the ascending poem, one line per animal from 10 at the top to 1 at the bottom. The horse's line, marked 5 and the longest of the ten, begins "The child became a warrior".* The generations line keeps the child from appearing out of nowhere. Within the work it would appear that a way of meeting danger can be inherited before it is understood, and the row's key to *Dad's Wooden Horse* sits beside it, force first met as a child's toy. That join is this guide's reading. **The serpents.** Smiling, with swords in their mouths: a welcome and a blade in one face. The line can be read two ways, and both matter. Danger can arrive through pleasing speech; and in scripture, a sword that comes out of the mouth is the word that cuts and discerns. As a strong reading, the Horse's work at the seat of severity is to tell flattery from truth that cuts. Three serpents with forked tongues also hang over *The Empty Room*, the room opened from [[Hall of Mirrors/The Bestiary - The Vulture|the unnumbered Vulture]]'s row of the board. **The program.** The room's title calls the Horse a program: *Jagwar Twin’s ”trojan horse” program\_*. The same phrase appears on a screen Roy posted on X in May 2022, in a list of items being "uploaded", a few months before the Hall of Mirrors opened. In a 2024 interview with Audio Addiction, Roy described the approach as *Trojan Horse music*: a chorus works like a mantra, and a song such as [[Happy Face]] sets a positive mantra over music that sounds "dark and twisted", working on the subconscious, with healing as the stated goal. The interview came later than the room, so it cannot date the drawing, but it names the method the title appears to point to. In that description, what the horse carries inside is the positive mantra, not a dark cargo. The title is also a key. Typed into another door, it opens [[Rooms Behind the Gallery#215 · How to Steer the Soul|How to Steer the Soul]], a photograph of a dove. Read as a chain, force hands on to the heart's bird under the heading of steering; the Hall does not explain the link. **The song that marches.** [[Superhuman]] (2018) is a collective battle-march: blood on the knees, overtime, a crowd trying to be more than human. There is no child in it; the child belongs to the Horse's line. Read beside Cinnamon, the song asks what a life costs when it must keep proving the warrior. ## Where it connects - **[[Happy Face]]**: the song given as the example of Trojan Horse music. - **[[I Like to Party]]**: its bridge declares that heaven is within the heart and the listener is the kingdom, then a voice cuts in to interrupt "our program". Beside a room that calls the horse a program, the song stages the carrier from the receiving end (a strong reading, not a proven link). - **[[Superhuman]]**: the collective march, co-written with Jeff Bhasker and Matt Pauling. - **[[Concepts/The Protector|The Protector]]**: the child armoured against harm. The Horse's line reads as that pattern placed at the martial rung. - **[[Hall of Mirrors/The Bestiary - 10 The Rabbit (Lemon)|10 · The Rabbit]]**: the other pet name, the other armed figure, the other stated change. - **[[Hall of Mirrors/The Bestiary - 4 The Dolphin (Jupiter)|4 · The Dolphin]]**: the other shoulder, and the other half of the board's note *Mars vs Jupiter*. ## In the tradition These are the nearest analogues, not claims about where the drawing came from. - **Mars's horse.** Agrippa lists the horse among Mars's warlike animals, and Crowley's *777* calls the horse sacred to Mars "chiefly on account of his spirited nature". - **The sword at Geburah.** *777* gives Geburah the sword among its magical weapons, with the spear, the scourge and the chain. The drawing puts a blade in the Horse's hand, and the ascending line puts swords in the serpents' mouths. - **The sword of the mouth.** In Revelation a sharp two-edged sword comes out of the mouth of the figure in John's vision (1:16), and Hebrews calls the word of God sharper than any two-edged sword, "a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (4:12). - **Steering the soul.** In Plato's *Phaedrus* the soul is a charioteer driving a pair of horses, the nearest analogue to a horse whose program opens *How to Steer the Soul*. - **Pentagon and tiger's eye.** Five sides at the fifth seat; with a capital P, the word is also the name of a defence headquarters. *Tigers Eye* could name the stone worn for protection, a tiger's gaze, or the fighter's anthem "Eye of the Tiger", and the label does not say which. ## Open questions - **Who is Cinnamon?** The name may simply be a coat colour, a cinnamon horse. No real horse by that name has turned up in the posts and interviews this guide has searched, and a 2024 post reading *Cinnamon changed the game* has nothing tying it to this drawing. - **Does the carrier free the listener or steer them?** The method's stated aim is healing through a positive mantra; [[I Like to Party]] shows the same kind of carrier seizing attention.
