# The Rooms Behind the Gallery Sixty-four Hall of Mirrors rooms that are **not** in the public galleries. The galleries hold what the community unlocked in 2022 and 2023 — roughly a hundred and fifty rooms, most of them solved in a rush over a single August, then a long quiet tail. This page holds what came after: every room opened since, all of them this year. Each is a real door in the same maze, with its own artwork and its own key. None of them are in the galleries, because the galleries stop where the community stopped. They are laid out **in the order they opened**. The numbers carry on from where the galleries end — the maze has always numbered its rooms in the order they were first unlocked, so these are almost certainly the numbers each will be given once the backend catches up. A note on how they came open, said once here rather than repeated on every room: some of these keys were worked out, and about twenty were simply **read out of the maze's own public records**, which say more about themselves than they mean to. The difference matters to anyone still playing, and none at all to what the artifacts are — which is what the write-ups below are about. ## Before you start `A phrase in this typeface` is the exact wording that opens a room, and **exact** means exact. One wrong apostrophe and nothing happens. Where a key ends in ␠, there is a single space on the end of it — invisible, and it matters. The maze's own text box quietly strips that space, so those rooms could not be opened by typing at all. **Filed under** is Roy's label for the shelf a room sits on. There are thirteen shelves, and he put every room on one of them: *Concealed Generations*, *Phantoms of the Past*, *Seeds of Infinity*, *Buried Things*, and so on. The shelf is often the most interesting thing about a room. Card titles open the room in the maze itself, which will want a wallet connected. Images open at full size. **Read the discovery →** jumps to the write-up further down the page. | Name | Image | Code | Filed under | | Read | |---|---|---|---|---|---| | **[155 · Grandma · Grandma Vi **Key** `A bridge between worlds` · **Filed under** Life Changing Connections (VI Link) · Image A photograph of Roy's grandmother, Vi. Of everything in the maze, this is the room whose *placement* says the most. The shelf that holds every artifact about the people who shaped him is called **Life Changing Connections (VI Link)**. She isn't filed under that heading — the heading is named after her. Grandma Vi's Cow, the VI Link tweet, the plane, the masks, the early-archive photographs: all of it sits in a category carrying her initials. Her key is `A bridge between worlds`, and that phrase is not a description of the picture. It is the **name of another artifact** — the Christmas-spider drawing, which the maze also calls *A bridge between worlds*. One room's title is another room's key, and that link runs directly into hers. The maze does this deliberately and it does it here first. She is not an item in the collection. She is the word the collection is filed under. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x5640402ea6efb88db35d187a69630aaa8f154ac1f1710d3897733ca31f6a7f16) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x5640402ea6efb88db35d187a69630aaa8f154ac1f1710d3897733ca31f6a7f16..jpg)
The maze calls this one Grandma Vi · opened 27 June 2026 ### 156 · Young Roy Painting for Mom **Key** `Were you raised in a barn?` · **Filed under** Unseen Things/Concealed Generations · Video A video the maze titles *young roy painting for mom* — a boy painting a house on a dirt road, made as a gift. The key is `Were you raised in a barn?` — the line every child hears for leaving a door open. It sits on a painting made *for* the person who would have said it, which turns an ordinary domestic scolding into the way in. That matters for how the maze works. A great many of these rooms open on **something a family member actually says** rather than on a symbol. The mother's own idiom is the key to the mother's own gift. The archive keeps the voices, not just the objects. Filed under **Unseen Things / Concealed Generations**, with the rest of the family material. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0xf8d069b3cf082060706ba7a63db0f93302111db052480177b1658ddf72b81cf4) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0xf8d069b3cf082060706ba7a63db0f93302111db052480177b1658ddf72b81cf4..jpg) · [Video ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0xf8d069b3cf082060706ba7a63db0f93302111db052480177b1658ddf72b81cf4..mp4)
The maze calls this one young roy painting for mom · opened 27 June 2026 ### 157 · VI Link **Key** `I want to be a bridge between worlds` · **Filed under** Life Changing Connections (VI Link) · Image A posted image carrying `I.H.S.`, the line **VI – Love – Sacrifice**, the words *there must be a Link*, and a concentric one-two-three target. Its key is `I want to be a bridge between worlds`. The maze keeps that in the first person and keeps the other bridge room in the third — one artifact is *called* the bridge, this one is opened by **wanting** to be one. The difference is the whole point of the pair. There are two rooms named VI Link, and they sit on different shelves. One spells it `VI-link` with a hyphen and lives among *Seen Things / Illumination*; this one spells it with a space and lives in *Life Changing Connections*. Same name, two places, two keys — the maze holding one idea in two registers at once. The target drawn on it is the plainest statement of what the artifact is for: rings closing on a centre, with a link needed to reach it. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0xbe0064b5fc4d1170a9b14438e701bbf22ea62fb923c0425aff47b060a838b80b) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0xbe0064b5fc4d1170a9b14438e701bbf22ea62fb923c0425aff47b060a838b80b..jpg)
The maze calls this one VI Link · opened 27 June 2026 ### 158 · Genesis Tree Code **Key** `Know how to spell the name of the song` · **Filed under** Window Of Appearance · Image A drawing of the Tree of Life as an emanation ladder. Its key is `Know how to spell the name of the song` — an instruction rather than a label. That belongs with the maze's deepest running joke, the one it takes from *Through the Looking-Glass*: the difference between a song, the song's name, what the song is called, and what the name of the song is called. Several rooms turn on that distinction. This one makes it the price of entry. And the room closes a loop of its own. Its **name**, `genesis tree code`, is itself a working key — it opens *Another Way II Heaven*. So this artifact is named by one key and *is* a key to another. That chain-link grammar runs all through the maze, and this is one of its clearest single instances: a diagram of emanation that is itself an emanation, passing a name along. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0xf8ba26296aaa48f701772f6f5698a995912004ce0c71ad89981399412ad8be3f) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0xf8ba26296aaa48f701772f6f5698a995912004ce0c71ad89981399412ad8be3f..jpg)
The maze calls this one Genesis Tree Code · opened 27 June 2026 ### 159 · Gnothi Seauton **Key** `Gnothi Seauton` · **Filed under** Instructional Information · Image A page from the *I'm 33* cosmology notebook, headed with the Greek for **know thyself**. It is a reading list as much as a drawing: *Ashim* · *Consciousness of an Atom* · *Thought Forms* · a boxed *road to EDEN* · *Solar Logos* · *Being × knowing / time = life* · and, at the centre, **tree thinking in the head, through the senses**. That last line is the room next door drawn out. Another artifact shows a face with its features wired into a segmented triangle inside the skull, numbered one to ten. Two pages, one curriculum: the tree grows *inside the head*, fed by the senses. The maze splits a single idea across two rooms and lets whoever finds both put it together. Filed under **Instructional Information** — the shelf for pages that tell you how to do something. This is the syllabus for the rest of them. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0xfd0a87e2946d7403e799886f9e6b94b06773af0fda30ea2ba7858593f41add55) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0xfd0a87e2946d7403e799886f9e6b94b06773af0fda30ea2ba7858593f41add55..jpg)
The maze calls this one Gnothi Seauton · opened 28 June 2026 ### 160 · Ryan & Roy, Albuquerque 2016 **Key** `Ryan Flemming_early archives` · **Filed under** Life Changing Connections (VI Link) · Image Two men photographed in Albuquerque in 2016 — from what the maze itself calls the early archives. Its key is `Ryan Flemming_early archives`, underscore included: a filename, used as a door. The maze does this more than once. A key that looks like a piece of filing usually *is* a piece of filing, lifted straight out of whatever folder the picture came from. What the room does is hold a layer the songs don't. This is years before Jagwar Twin, and the artifact's only subject is a friendship. The archive keeps the people who were there first, and files them under **Life Changing Connections**. Small things in the frame that nobody has explained: a **071** tag, the jewellery both men wear, and the fact that **only left hands** are visible. They are logged, not interpreted. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0xaebcbd2723d39be5453db0ca7f986d98e669988c5c8ee91af90fde182a8aef8c) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0xaebcbd2723d39be5453db0ca7f986d98e669988c5c8ee91af90fde182a8aef8c..jpg)
The maze calls this one Ryan & Roy (Albuquerque 2016) · opened 28 June 2026 ### 161 · Gabriel the Cat **Key** `Stomach of a cat + 9 lives` · **Filed under** Unseen Things/Concealed Generations · Image A cat beneath a crescent moon — **gears in its right hand**, sandals on its feet, standing on the moon itself. Its key, `Stomach of a cat + 9 lives`, is a coordinate as much as a phrase. The maze numbers its animals down the ladder, **swan 1 to rabbit 10**, and numbers body parts the other way, **feet 1 to crown 10** — so an animal and a body part name the same rung from opposite ends, and each pair adds to eleven. Cat is nine, the stomach is two. The key carries both halves of its own address. The drawing is more precise than it first looks. **Gabriel, the moon, machinery, sandals** is a bundle that sits together in one chapter of Dion Fortune — the archangel of that sphere, and the vision of the machinery of the universe. Jen's note on the artwork was *"the moon is a machine"*; the gears in its hand say the same thing, and so does the tradition it's drawn from. One of the maze's bestiary: animals standing in for the powers, each on its own rung. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0xe0c8f894133abd1ec0383346e5ca54ae9fb1f6834bebbd140e1f8aa554af7c1f) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0xe0c8f894133abd1ec0383346e5ca54ae9fb1f6834bebbd140e1f8aa554af7c1f..png)
The maze calls this one Gabriel The Cat · opened 28 June 2026 ### 162 · Everybody's Going to Space Now **Key** `In my Father's Shoes` · **Filed under** From Darkness · Image This picture already hangs in the public galleries. It was opened in August 2022 with `In My Fathers Shoes`, no apostrophe. `In my Father's Shoes` **with** the apostrophe is a different string, so it is a different door — and it opens onto the same photograph. That sounds like an accident and it is worth understanding as a feature of how the maze is built. Doors are keyed by the exact characters you type; artifacts sit behind doors. So one artwork can have more than one way in, and two people can each find "a new room" and arrive at the same picture. Four rooms on this page work that way. It changes what counts as a discovery. A new key is only a new room if the thing behind it is something you don't already have. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x08ef97bc8fcaf1c4acaa0e53c2a34c3d3adfa133cd961a9af1cb27fb6ca16544) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x08ef97bc8fcaf1c4acaa0e53c2a34c3d3adfa133cd961a9af1cb27fb6ca16544..jpg)
The maze calls this one Everybody's Going To Space Now · opened 28 June 2026 ### 163 · Current-Sea **Key** `no thing creates another thing` · **Filed under** Ways of growing (Keys to Kingdom) · Image The *Man devours God* page from the notebook. Its key is `no thing creates another thing`, and the space inside **no thing** is load-bearing. *Nothing* and *no thing* are different ideas — one is absence, the other is a thing that is not a thing — and only one of them opens the door. The maze is exact about that distinction in several places; this is where it's sharpest. The room's name does the same work out loud. **Current-Sea** is currency and a sea current at once, which is precisely the joke the page is making about what people consume and what consumes them. The page says *Man devours God, God devours Man*; the title says the same thing in money. The whole sentence is written on it: *"the way to Heaven lies through Hell, but it is a commonplace pathway."* The maze takes the first half as the key — `The Way To Heaven` — and the second half as the room's **name**. One sentence, cut in two, with the artifact hung between the halves. ★ And the sentence isn't Roy's. It is **William G. Gray, *The Ladder of Lights*, chapter 8** — the chapter on resistance and conduction, where Gray calls that route through Hell exactly what the room is called: *a commonplace pathway*. Copied into the notebook, then split and made into a door. That makes this one of the clearest windows in the maze onto what Roy was actually reading. The name, the key and the page all point at one book and one chapter, and the room quietly credits it. Filed under **Time Garden (22:1)**, one of only eight rooms on that shelf. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x80e7c0ff92854e549c657338f29ce599c499efd5825d872797a10b254838ab9d) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x80e7c0ff92854e549c657338f29ce599c499efd5825d872797a10b254838ab9d..jpg)
The maze calls this one A Commonplace Pathway · opened 28 June 2026 ### 165 · Soul Is A Star, Unreleased Adlibs **Key** `A Bullet In Her Genes` · **Filed under** Unseen Things/Concealed Generations · Audio About a minute of mono audio: unreleased adlibs for *Soul Is A Star*. This is one of the things the maze exists to hold. The rooms are full of work that stopped short of release — demos, voice memos, takes, versions — kept and given a door instead of being lost. Three of the artifacts here are audio with no picture at all; the maze simply hands you the sound. Its key is `A Bullet In Her Genes` — **genes**, not jeans. The homophone is doing the work, and the shelf agrees with it: the room sits under **Unseen Things / Concealed Generations**. Something inherited, travelling fast, through a family. The songs on the record are one version of that idea. Its key is a line from inside the poem rather than its title: *"It's time the code was taught to you… The clue I give is 'nature' / The answers in a name… I'm the spider… 33… the universal Game."* → `The Answers In A Name`. That makes this room unusual even here. Most artifacts are things the maze holds; this one is a set of instructions **for the maze**, hidden in the maze. It tells you that answers live in names — which is exactly how a dozen other rooms are keyed, each opening on the title of another. The poem describes the mechanism it is part of. *The universal Game*, and a spider at the middle of a web that is also a moon over an ocean. The project's name for its own structure, written where you can only find it by working the structure. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x0d83fc8ad339c56a172c49eb32ae0300cb79669a9adad4163afd4fec31e8f6b3) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x0d83fc8ad339c56a172c49eb32ae0300cb79669a9adad4163afd4fec31e8f6b3..png)
The maze calls this one I'm The Spider · opened 29 June 2026 ### 167 · A Secret Order **Key** `A secret order everywhere` · **Filed under** Unseen Things/Concealed Generations · Image A *Coronation of the Virgin* paired with a poem about Rome. Its key is `A secret order everywhere` — a line from **stanza two**. Not the title, not the opening, and not anything a summary of the page would produce. When a room's artwork is a text, the maze is often keyed on one specific line buried inside it, which means reading the whole thing rather than describing it. The rest of the poem is only partly legible at the resolution the maze serves — trees, a breeze, frogs, and the line ***"What is it that you seek?"***, a question this project puts in three separate places. Two further phrases read like *"You're Rome"* and *"Bethlam home"*; both are held rather than quoted, because at this resolution they could be something else, and a poem is exactly where a wrong word becomes permanent by repetition. An old painting of a crowning, a new poem about a city, and a secret order said to be everywhere. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x5ae904bccf70e5292458765f422629f7ca1e6ea12de1b890af2753770f89fe4d) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x5ae904bccf70e5292458765f422629f7ca1e6ea12de1b890af2753770f89fe4d..png)
The maze calls this one Roy Poem "A Secret Order · opened 29 June 2026 ### 168 · Content of the Earth **Key** `3132514932` · **Filed under** Seen Things/Illumination · Video Its key is `3132514932` — a phone number with every bracket and dash stripped out. CALL NOW (313)-251-4932.** That campaign worked — people called, and their recorded answers became the published clips. So this room reaches back and re-uses a live piece of a record rollout as a door. That is one of the maze's habits worth knowing: it is not sealed off from the released work. Lyrics, posters, thumbnails and posts are all part of the same surface, and a thing that was public in 2020 can be the key to a room in 2022. The clue isn't even on this room's own artwork — it's displayed on the sibling poster that opens a different room. Rabbit is animal ten. On the ladder that is the bottom rung, the World, the ground you stand on — paired by the body count with the feet. *Gate of the World* reads like an arrival and isn't one; it's the threshold at the bottom, the way in. It turns up all over the maze: a drawn dove rising out of an ankh with a rose on its chest, a photographed dove descending wrapped in shadow, a white dove wearing its own black double, haloed, on the heart. The equations name in a word what those drawings spend a page each on. Chained rooms like this one are the maze at its most economical. There's almost nothing to look at. The spider sits at station six, the sun's station and the heart of the ladder — and the project's spider is a specific one: *RAPhael the Christmas Spider, on the mountain of the Soul*, an archangel with a capital RA at the front of his name. There's a poem elsewhere in the maze that ends *"I'm the spider… 33… the universal Game."* This room says the same thing as an equation. One of them is a riddle about who's running the game; the other is a line of arithmetic. Roy posted those exact words in April 2022, four months before the maze opened. The room's other half is an image: a two-headed figure with **VI on its shirt** and Roy's head above. Roma and Roy at once, wearing the grandmother's numeral on the composite body. The maze links it onward — this room's name is another room's key — so *Roma called Roy* runs into *true voice*, and the naming question keeps travelling. So the shape of the room is: the artwork is the later post, the key is the earlier one, and the two only make a door together. That pattern — a room assembled out of two things published hours apart — is one of the reasons the maze rewards going back through the feed rather than through the artwork. A couplet split between a room's name and a room's key is the maze's tightest bit of construction. You cannot have half of it. The name tells you the sentence exists; the key is the other half; and the artifact behind them is footage of the record being made. That placement is the point. The couplet is a statement about the self dissolving, and it's hung on film of the work being done — the sessions, the room, the people. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x6ed41c56617941cf75cf6d438f882d3063cf5aa5e4185cf1cc049435e3844861) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x6ed41c56617941cf75cf6d438f882d3063cf5aa5e4185cf1cc049435e3844861..jpg) · [Video ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x6ed41c56617941cf75cf6d438f882d3063cf5aa5e4185cf1cc049435e3844861..mp4)
The maze calls this one Where there is Truth, there is No-Self · opened 23 August 2026 ### 190 · Internal Guide **Key** `Stars are letters in wisdom's alphabet` · **Filed under** Phantoms of the Past · Image A class photograph. A community board card from May 2022 carries the string `çå ̈†ˆø˜ ®ø¥` — which, read as the characters those option-key positions produce, says CAUTION ROY. And the raw glyph string is itself a working key, for a different room. So: an inscription posted publicly in 2022 → a room keyed by the glyphs → a physical decode → the plaintext, which is the key to somewhere else. Two rooms, one message, a keyboard in between. The tapestry is borrowed — a medieval object from a museum, used as a wall. Neither is listed in the maze's own records. Both are live. `Think Like A Tree Growing Up` opens the ascending sheet. Every rung of the ladder carries **two lines, one per direction of travel**, and no rung is identical. The sheet works as a concordance as well as a poem — its lines are the doors to other rooms. Rung eight is the one to sit with. *Its* thoughts, not *my* thoughts. A hopscotch court is a *winding* route from the ground to Heaven, which is the serpent's way up rather than the lightning bolt's way down. Roy spells cat with a K. - **Rainflower** — annotated *seed of life, Jaguarships*, drawn as a meteor with two witness-poles beside it. - **Sunki T** — a named place, a small city skyline on a platform. And two pillars labelled in Roy's own hand: **Jachim** left, **Boas** right — Jachin and Boaz — globe-topped, the left one checkerboarded, joined by an arch with **seven steps** rising to it. And the dove chain it belongs to is one of the maze's prettiest runs: *Venus is a dove* opens on `F316`; the room actually **named** F316 opens on `Build A Bridge`; and the bridge phrases run into Grandma Vi's rooms. The love-bird builds the crossing the family rooms are named for. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x45967cfd180258a4af354a1df50256ff087627de16c5c49ef599cecc313acdb4) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x45967cfd180258a4af354a1df50256ff087627de16c5c49ef599cecc313acdb4..jpg)
The maze calls this one How To Steer The Soul · opened 30 August 2026 ### 216 · G Owl **Key** `Q373` · **Filed under** From Darkness · Video A figurine — an owl — as a still and a three-second video. Its key is `Q373`: a **cell reference** on Roy's *I'm 33* spreadsheet, the way you'd name a square on a grid. About thirty of the maze's keys are cell references like that. The spreadsheet isn't just a source of ideas for the maze — its coordinates are the maze's passwords, so the two objects are wired together at the level of the filing. The square at Q373 reads *Separation Magnets*. Jen's reading of the name, economical and unproven: **G OWL becomes GLOW** if the L slides into the gap. An owl that sees in the dark, filed under **From Darkness**. The owl turns up elsewhere as *RAtziel the Beech Owl*, an archangel with three stars and three whirling wheels. This is the same bird as an object on a shelf. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x9567430c30179e1de2489790feeca5122db96bab6f25539891efa15e4da43c05) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x9567430c30179e1de2489790feeca5122db96bab6f25539891efa15e4da43c05..jpg) · [Video ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x9567430c30179e1de2489790feeca5122db96bab6f25539891efa15e4da43c05..mp4)
The maze calls this one G Owl · opened 30 August 2026 ### 217 · Yellow & Elephant 1 **Key** `Yellow & Elephant` · **Filed under** Time Garden (22:1) · Image The cover art of **Yellow & Elephant** — the 2010 Fearless Records album by **Eye Alaska**, Roy's Orange County band before any of this. A many-trunked black elephant on a yellow field, the band's name set beneath it. ★ **The maze holds this record twice, and files the two halves apart.** Its sibling, *Yellow & Elephant 2*, has been in the public galleries all along: a slow turntable scan of the still-shrink-wrapped retail CD, barcode and Fearless price sticker and all, rotating on weathered crate slats. That one is shelved under **Phantoms of the Past**. This one — the artwork itself, with no object around it — is shelved under **Time Garden**. The same record, split: the *thing* filed with the phantoms, the *image* filed with time. That is how the early bands sit in here generally. They are not backstory parked outside the work; they are load-bearing. The album title is a key. The high-school band before it, **Dead Letter Diaries**, has its own room under its own name. And a room called **Venus** opens on `DLD` — the older band's initials, used as a password years later. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x05c7c36d666751f2873c7d3104d6d31dff8f284f898c61444bbeb3adb3cfef00) · [Full image ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x05c7c36d666751f2873c7d3104d6d31dff8f284f898c61444bbeb3adb3cfef00..jpeg)
The maze calls this one Yellow & Elephant 1 · opened 1 September 2026 ### 218 · Song Of The Sun & The Moon **Key** `H675` · **Filed under** Seeds of Infinity/Childhood · Audio Three minutes forty-five of audio, made in Logic, the file still carrying its working title: **"Song Of the Sun And The Moon idea."** ★ **The song itself is not new here.** *The Song of the Sun and the Moon (33 Demo)* was released in October 2022 as a collector's-only drop — a real Jagwar Twin track that never went to streaming, so it stays invisible to anyone working from the catalogue, though it can still be heard by anyone who goes looking. The archive has held it, transcribed and listened through, since June. ★ **What the room adds is a different export of the same take.** Not a re-recording: the two run together almost exactly for the first three minutes. Then this one ends **sixteen seconds early, with a different final section** — the released version keeps the full repeated ending and this one does not. It is the earlier shape of the song, from before the ending was settled, and its own metadata still calls it an *idea*. Filed in the *infinity* realm, on **Seeds of Infinity / Childhood** — the shelf that also holds the small run of equation rooms, `Cat=Moon`, `Spider=Sun`, `Sun=6`, that give the sun and the moon their meanings in this system. Nearly everything in that realm shares the shelf, so read it as the neighbourhood it was filed in rather than a deliberate pairing. ⬜ **Still open.** Nobody has yet sat down with this particular export and heard it through against the release. Everything above rests on what the two files measurably share, not on how this one sounds. [Open the room ↗](https://mirrors.jagwartwin.com/rooms/0x07d96a3922652b733af5f69671a932c1db724d683e81d531778e655f1abcc612) · [Audio ↗](https://storage.googleapis.com/jagwar-twin-33.appspot.com/artifacts/0x07d96a3922652b733af5f69671a932c1db724d683e81d531778e655f1abcc612..mp3)
The maze calls this one Song Of The Sun & The Moon · opened 1 September 2026 --- ## What the maze does with them Three things the collection makes plain once you have it in one place. **It files the life, and the filing is the statement.** Thirteen shelves, and every room sits on one. The shelf holding everyone who mattered is named after a grandmother; the family material is split across four different headings rather than gathered under one; a page about what gets passed down sits under *Ways of growing*. Nothing here is arranged by date or by medium. It is arranged by what a thing means, and the arrangement was made before anyone came looking. **Almost nothing stands alone.** One room's name is another room's key, over and over — a dove opens a bridge, a bridge opens a grandmother, a colour-and-note opens a dove whose name opens a boy on a horse. Ideas are split across objects on purpose: *one becomes two* is sung on a record, written by hand on a bestiary sheet, and drawn as two circles in a third room. No single artifact carries it. Reassembly is the work. **It keeps what the songs let go.** Demos that were never released, album art that was rejected, takes that didn't make it, a first band's CD nailed to a fence, a voice diary, a mother in a garden, a boy painting a house for her. The records are one version of this material. The maze is where the rest of it lives, with a door on each piece.
