# The Wise One > **One-line reading.** The Wise One walks into the old cave, finds the song everyone was talked out of believing they could sing, and remembers she once held the string. She is the single beat where the whole Jagwar Twin cosmology stops falling and turns back toward light, and she does it by doing almost nothing. > [!infobox] The Wise One > - **Role:** the remembering figure who closes the creation myth > - **Nature:** feminine; remembrance itself, made into a person > - **First appeared:** *"The Circle,"* the closer of *33* (2022) > - **Sole home:** [[The Circle]] > - **Defining act:** she *"remembered she once held the string"* > - **Key symbols:** [[The Thread|the thread]] · the cave · the song hidden inside the wings > - **Related:** [[Mary]] · [[Jagwar Twin]] · [[Concepts/The Jaguar]] · [[Sir Lucius]] · [[Roy]] ## Start here She is the shortest character in the whole catalogue. Two lines, total, and then the song is over and so is she. But those two lines are the exact spot where the entire Jagwar Twin genesis story stops falling and turns back toward light, which makes her the strangest kind of protagonist: the one who shows up last, does almost nothing, and saves everything. She doesn't fight. She doesn't conquer. She doesn't win the song back in some final battle. She walks into an old cave, and she remembers. That is the entire performance, and it is enough. > *"Til a wise one found a small cave where the Jagwars used to sing / And the wise one remembered she once held the string."* Here is the cleanest way to hold what she does. The wise one finds the cave and remembers she held the string: rediscovery isn't invention, it's recognition. She doesn't build anything, she doesn't go fetch a lost object, she recognizes something that was true the whole time and had only been forgotten. That is why she is *wise* rather than *strong.* By the time she arrives, the myth has gone all the way down. The song was there at the beginning: we are here to act as mirrors for the divine, say, for instance a mother jaguar, who carries us on a string. That mother jaguar, the feminine Maker, made the other Jagwars, taught them to sing, then hid the song inside their wings *"on the inside of the inside"* and withdrew. Then the long forgetting: *"the new kings told Jagwars they never could sing,"* and *"the empires built cages and sold everything."* The song gets buried, disbelieved, sealed somewhere nobody thinks to look. Into all of that walks one figure with no weapon and no army, and she reverses the whole descent with a memory. That is the thing to hold onto about her. In this world, what's broken is fixed by remembering, never by acquiring, and she is the proof. The macro shape is right there in the song: the Jagwar teaches the song, the empire silences it, the wise one remembers. Three beats, and the third one is her. She is easy to mistake for [[Mary]], and the overlap is real, both sit in the catalogue's divine-feminine register. But hold the guard the work itself keeps. She is not simply Mary, and she is not a fourth named character standing beside Roy, Lucius, and Mary. Her defining act, remembrance, is her own. *What* she is, exactly, is the richest material on the page, and it's folded at the bottom for whoever wants to go there. (If any of it starts to sound too certain, distrust it: certainty is just a tone, not a truth.) New here and want the song, not the syllabus? Go straight to [[The Circle]] and let it play to the end. The rest of this page will keep. ## Where she sits Line her up against the rest of the myth and she is the answer-shape to every figure in it. The new kings installed the loss. The Maker hid the song and withdrew. [[Sir Lucius]] keeps the circle's comforting name and quietly takes the remembering out. And the Wise One is the single beat where all of that gets undone, not by opposing it, but by recalling what was true before any of it started. Pull her out and the myth has no ending. It just keeps falling: kings, cages, cycles, silence. She's the hinge the whole thing swings back on. Her relationship to [[Sir Lucius]] is the sharpest way to see her, because they run the identical circuit with opposite charge. He is the mind divorced from the heart, the same severance the *"new kings"* perform at civilizational scale, cages and commodification and *you can't sing.* He embodies that machine-logic without ever being the machine itself. She restores exactly what he strips: where he keeps the loop turning without transformation, she closes the circle with the memory put back. Same geometry, opposite direction of travel. Hold both of them at once and the whole argument of the catalogue comes into focus. ## Meet her here You meet the Wise One in exactly one place, and it's worth going straight there. [[The Circle]] is her only home: the closing track of *33* (2022), the song Roy calls *"Jagwar Twin's Genesis story"* and *"my favorite song that has ever come through me."* Note *come through me,* not *that I wrote.* Even the author files himself as a Jagwar remembering, not a king inventing. Play it to the end and you'll hear her two lines land exactly where the myth resolves. There's a live form of her, too. When a crowd sings the song back at a show, that *is* the Jagwars singing again, the suppressed song recovered in real time by people who turn out to have known it all along. (More on that just below.) And if you want to see what she *is* by watching her disappear, go to [[The Circle (Lucius Version)]]. Same sacred name, the myth's front door, and she is simply not in it. ## The two lines (the grounded floor) Everything on this page is reading, except this. Before any interpretation starts, three things in those two lines are simply *true.* **One:** she is feminine. *She.* **Two:** her single act is remembrance. She *remembered.* She didn't acquire, conquer, or receive. **Three:** the string she remembers holding is the *same string* the myth opened on: *"Long ago, there was a Jagwar with a world tied on a string."* Maker and Wise One hold the identical object, and both are *she.* The *she,* the remembrance, and the shared string are the bedrock. Build carefully on them and the rest of the page follows. It matters, too, that she is Roy's solo invention. He is the *sole writer* of "The Circle" (Roy English and Matt Pauling produce), so the Wise One isn't a co-write or a borrowed myth-figure. She's his own. ## What she reverses: loss by persuasion The thing that makes her job so specific is *how* the song was lost. It wasn't stolen. Nobody took it. > *"The new kings told Jagwars they never could sing."* The Jagwars were simply talked out of it. The loss is a belief, installed by persuasion and repeated across *"many cycles… with their kings."* And a belief can't be seized back by force, which is the whole reason the cure is a rememberer and not a warrior. So she can't go *get* the song back, because it was never anywhere else. The Maker had *"hid the song inside their wings / On the inside of the inside, then left them to sing."* The thing everyone was hunting was sealed inside every Jagwar the entire time. Recovery, then, isn't retrieval. It's remembering what was always there. She doesn't find a lost object in the cave. She finds her own forgotten memory of holding the string. That's the engine of the whole figure, and it's why she is *wise* rather than *strong.* And it's why the reversal looks like nothing. If the loss came in through belief, so does the cure, and the cure is not a battle plan. You don't destroy these systems with fire or war, you destroy them by withdrawing your belief. Once you remember you are a reflection of the divine, directly connected, the cage of the Empire simply ceases to exist. The Jagwars who remember become an anomaly in the system, a glitch: by not believing in the system they undo it, from the inside, not by war and not by fire, and get their real selves back. Her cave-moment is the first instance of that glitch. Everything after is it spreading. ## The string is the thread The string she remembers holding is, in the catalogue's vocabulary, [[The Thread]], and her line is where the Thread *originates.* *"A world tied on a string"* (the Maker) and *"she once held the string"* (the Wise One) are the same filament: the living connection to the source, feeling, creative agency, the song itself. Ariadne's thread, the line back out through the maze of cages and empires. It is the spirit and the feeling both, the thing you cannot straighten without losing the song. And there's an ethics folded into the verb. She remembers she once *held* the string. She recovers her own participation in the source. That is the exact opposite of *pulling* strings, the thing control does: working a figure from outside the living relation, a hand that moves the puppet without ever having made it. So the catalogue's one-line test for any thread runs straight through her. Remembrance *holds* the string. Control *pulls* strings. Does the line lead you home to the source, or does it just make you moveable by a false one? She is the held-string answer. ## The circle grows Her remembrance doesn't stop with her. The album's literal final words, repeated to fade, are the doctrine she sets loose: > *"The circle will grow / From the inside of the inside… But the inside of the inside must be where you go."* This is restoration that *spreads,* organically, from the deepest interior outward, by awakening rather than by force. To join the circle is to surrender the ego and return to the collective consciousness, the source; the cages were only ever illusions of identity, things that box in the infinite nature of the soul, and remembering is what dissolves them. And it has a live, audible form. When a crowd sings the song back at a show, that *is* the Jagwars singing again: the suppressed song recovered in real time, by people who turn out to have known it all along. It was *"inside their wings,"* inside them, the whole time. Her private cave-moment, scaled to a room. Anamnesis with a chorus. And the doctrine is older than the song. Roy was already saying it in 2019, three years before "The Circle" existed: *"There is no beginning and no end, it's just a circle,"* back in the *Subject to Flooding* press cycle, attached to [[Move To You]]. Her remembrance-doctrine was being spoken aloud at the debut. The 2022 song doesn't invent it. It gives it a face. ## The Lucius Version: switched off The cleanest way to see what she *is* is to watch her get deleted. On *Lucius Lullaby* (2026), Track 1 is called **"The Circle (Lucius Version)."** Same sacred name, the genesis myth's front door, except she isn't in it. None of the myth is. The track wears the title and loops a single line from a music box. (The exact lyric is by-ear and contested, so hold the specific words loosely; what isn't contested is that the whole myth is gone.) The form is the tell. The circle as a music box is the opening of *Lucius Lullaby,* and it hits that innocent, young part of the brain on purpose. A music box is, mechanically, a string-instrument with the strings replaced by a fixed mechanism, a comb plucking a pinned cylinder. So the track literally renders [[The Thread]], the string meant to be *held* in a living hand, as clockwork you *wind up.* The living relation becomes a sequence. This is the savage joke of the whole album. [[Sir Lucius]] doesn't *argue* with the remembrance-figure. He never makes the case that the Circle is false. He keeps the comforting name, swaps the awakening-song for a lullaby, and the figure whose entire being is *"remembered she once held the string"* gets written over. With perfect efficiency, she is put back to sleep. He wins not by convincing anyone the Circle is wrong, but by convincing them they've already found it, then handing them a music box. Her *absence* is the whole finding: this is appropriation, not deletion. The awakening function stripped out, the warm label left on. And notice this is Lucius at his most tender-seeming and his most dangerous at once: the lullaby is a comfort, an act that can read as protection, and it is exactly the comfort that keeps the sleeper asleep. (Why that lullaby is a nastier trick than a straight lie is in the deeper cuts.) ## Relationships - **[[Mary]]:** the catalogue's divine-feminine figure, the same Sophia/Shekhinah register the Wise One sits in. The overlap is real and strong, and the source may even be one figure under two names. But the link is archetypal overlap only. The hard guard holds: this is *not* "the Wise One is Mary." Her signature act, remembrance, leans more Sophia/Shekhinah than conventional Marian, and the full identification waits on something the work doesn't yet state outright. - **[[The Circle]]:** her sole home, the closing track of *33* and the foundational Jagwar myth. Everything she is happens in two lines of this song. - **[[Concepts/The Loop and the Circle]]:** the keystone doctrine she resolves. No beginning and no end, the sought thing already within, recovery by remembrance, the circle that grows from the inside of the inside. - **[[The Thread]]:** the *string* she remembers holding; the Thread originates in her line. Remembrance holds the string; control pulls strings. - **The Maker Jagwar:** the feminine primordial Jaguar who ties the world on the string and teaches the Jagwars to sing. On the cosmic reading, the Wise One *was* the Maker: seeker and maker, two phases of one being. - **[[Jagwar Twin]]:** the project named for the made-and-divided creatures of this myth. *Jagwar Twin* reads as self-identification with the Jagwars who were told they couldn't sing, which makes the Wise One *us,* remembering. - **[[Concepts/The Jaguar]]:** the emblem of seeing *and* singing. The primordial Jaguar *"taught them to sing,"* and the Wise One recovers that field's lost voice. (Open question: whether the seeing-field and the source are distinct orders or one function in two faces. The myth tips toward the latter, but it isn't locked.) - **The new kings:** the antagonists, the masculine system-of-control who *"told Jagwars they never could sing"* and *"built cages and sold everything."* The exact loss her remembrance reverses. - **[[Sir Lucius]]:** the inverse pole, the mind divorced from the heart, embodying the machine-logic of the kings at the personal scale without being the machine itself. The Loop is return without transformation; the Circle is return with memory restored. In "The Circle (Lucius Version)" he hollows the remembrance-figure out entirely and she simply vanishes. - **[[Roy]]:** must *hold* the thread rather than cut it, the held-string discipline lived out by the man in the middle; the Eye-Alaska *shore = the wise* line links his self-naming to the Wise One at a distance, registers kept apart. --- ### The deeper cuts Everything above stands on its own. What follows is optional: the framework held loosely, the readings that go further than the lyric strictly licenses, the counter-arguments, the source notes. Open what you want. Ignore all of it and nothing breaks. And a standing rule for the whole downstairs: none of this is the answer, it's just one way of seeing it. > [!note]- The two faces (the core frame) > The richest way to hold this figure is that she wears two faces at once, joined at a hinge. > > **Face one, cosmic / source.** *"She remembered she once held the string,"* the line says, but the *Maker* held the string at the myth's opening. If the Wise One once held it, then on this reading she *was* the Maker. Seeker and maker become two phases of one feminine being: she made the world, the world forgot her, and she returns at the end to remember herself. This is the divine-feminine face, the territory this guide maps to **Sophia / Shekhinah:** wisdom recovering the thread, the source-figure returning from exile. (The *"she"* is grounded. The Sophia/Shekhinah identification is interpretation, a family resemblance, not an equation.) > > **Face two, immanent / collective.** But the song was hidden inside *every* Jagwar's wings, inside everyone. So the Wise One is also the *template* of remembrance that any one of us can instantiate: not a specific being but *us, remembering.* This is the Christ-as-exemplar pattern, the ones who remembered the song and sang it back (a Jesus, a Bowie, a Prince), and it ties quietly to the album title, **33**, Christ's age. Roy grounds this collective face in his own public words: *"Every person has it inside of them. The trick is getting it inside out"* and *"If it's happening for me it's happening for everyone."* > > **Both at once,** through a single hinge: the spark inside each person, *remembered,* reunites with the source, so personal awakening and reunion with the cosmic Maker are *the same event.* You don't choose between the faces. The Wise One is precisely the place where "I woke up" and "the source returned" turn out to be one sentence. (The 33-as-Christ's-age tie is held lightly, a resonance, not a locked claim.) > [!note]- A faculty, not a fourth character > She reads best *not* as a separate roster figure but as a **state, a faculty: feminine-coded remembrance.** > > Two earlier readings only *look* like they fight. (a) She's the awakened self, the recovered self, the listener's own future state. (b) She occupies [[Mary]]'s archetypal territory, the feminine rememberer. They reconcile the moment you notice that *remembrance itself is feminine-coded* in this system: caves, mirrors, intuition, the held thread. The awakened self recovers the song *by* recovering the feminine faculty the kings suppressed. So the Wise One is *whoever re-members the feminine thread,* the listener, Roy, or the feminine principle itself, because at the instant of recovery they are the *same act.* > > Two hard guards. She is **not** simply Mary (archetypal overlap only; there's no naming evidence, and her defining act, remembrance, is more Sophia/Shekhinah than conventional Mary). And she is **not** a fourth named character standing beside Roy, Lucius, and Mary. That's the over-reading the project warns against elsewhere (cf. [[Concepts/The Jaguar]]). > > Zoom out and the whole myth is *bracketed by two feminine figures who hold the same object:* it opens on a feminine Maker with the world on a string and closes on a feminine Wise One who remembers holding it. Read against [[The Thread]] (thread = feeling, the song, the animating principle), the cosmogony resolves into one image: the feminine holds the thread, the *"new kings"* cut it, recovery is re-membering it. The kings are the masculine system-of-control: cages, commodification, "you can't sing," mind divorced from heart at *civilizational* scale, the same severance [[Sir Lucius]] performs at the personal one. > > So the divine feminine ([[Mary]] / Shekhinah, the Wise One, the primordial [[Concepts/The Jaguar|Jaguar]]) reads as **one function seen at three phases:** *origin* (the Maker who ties the world on the string and teaches the song), *exile* (the hidden source inside the darkened world, Shekhinah-in-exile), and *return* (the Wise One who re-members). Archetypal *continuity,* not a claim that the three are one named character. > [!note]- The cave, the wings, and the withdrawal > **The cave.** She walks into *"a small cave where the Jagwars used to sing,"* the site of the original, now-forgotten song. Read against Plato, it's an *inversion:* here the cave holds the *truth,* the original song, not shadows. She enters to recover an original relation, not to be deceived inside it. Eden remembered, rather than the fall into illusion. Whether the cave is best read as memory, sacred space, the unconscious, or the origin point stays open, but the direction is clear: she goes *in* to find what's *real.* > > **The withdrawal.** The Maker comes down, walks with the Jagwars, then *hides the song inside their wings and withdraws.* That contraction leaves the divine concealed *within* creation, the shape Lurianic Kabbalah calls *tzimtzum,* but it's worth hearing it in the plainer register the work keeps too: spirit descends into matter and forgets, and the soul must awaken and remember its origin. Seeds fall down, back to the garden. The falling is the planting. The song buried in the wings isn't a loss, it's a seed, and the middle of the myth (caged fragmentation) is the long winter before the Wise One's remembrance, the *tikkun* beat, gathers the scattered light back. The song concealed *inside* rather than acquired from outside is also the *kingdom within:* the essential thing uncovered, not obtained. Framework correspondence, not a stated source, but the founding myth's architecture sits unusually cleanly on it. > [!note]- The one song, and the singing field > Roy's Manifesto FAQ states a spine the Wise One runs straight through: *"The world needs music, but the world doesn't need more songs. There's only one song. I'm still learning how to write it."* Read through the Circle, that *one song* is the primordial song the Maker hid in the wings and the kings suppressed, and the catalogue is a run of attempts to re-transmit it: one transmission, remembered and shaped and passed along, through each unique cycle and vessel. Her remembrance is *how* the one song is recovered: not writing a new song, re-membering the only one. (His public line *"Music is how the world remembers who it is"* is the same mechanism, in his own words.) > > The Jaguar belongs here too. The emblem is usually framed as *seeing,* the creature who looks into others and back into itself, but the primordial Jaguar's defining act in this myth is *teaching the song.* So the seeing-field also *sings,* and her remembrance recovers that field's lost voice. The *one song* is, in this register, the Jaguar's song. > > And one honest curio. The Maker descends to *"the empires of the Earth, Wind, and the Sea,"* three elements, no fire, which is essentially *Earth, Wind & Fire* (a named childhood influence of Roy's) with Fire swapped for Sea. Tempting. But it's negative evidence, reading meaning into what's *absent,* which is the cheapest kind, and the swap may be pure euphony. The archive flags it against itself: the over-read risk is the lesson, not the fire. > [!reading]- The remembrance pattern across the songs > She anchors a documented pattern across three verified songs, each restating *recovery by remembrance* rather than acquisition. "The Circle" (*"the wise one remembered she once held the string"*), then [[Soul Is A Star]], then [[tomorrow (ANGLE OF ETERNITY)]] (*"do you remember? / take my hand, I'll help you remember"*). Salvation recovered, not purchased: the Platonic and Gnostic *anamnesis* shape, sung more than one way. Spirit descends into matter and forgets, and the soul must awaken and remember its origin. > > But be honest about where the chain lands, because it does *not* resolve into a clean triumph. [[Soul Is A Star]] ends on a *question,* not an answer: *"do you know who you are?"* That's the central Gnostic question left hanging, not a victory lap. The remembrance pattern is real and it recurs, but the arc it traces ends *open,* held as a question rather than closed as a verdict. Which is truer to the work anyway: this is a doctrine you keep having to re-enter, not a level you clear once. > > The collective face has an early seed, too. The [[Superhuman (Interlude)]] passage borrowed from Chaplin's *Great Dictator*, *"The kingdom of God is within man / Not in one man / Nor a group of men / But in all men / In you,"* is the exact theology of the Wise One's all-of-us template: the treasure is in everyone or it's nowhere. The album's *we, not me* was never only solidarity. It was already a theology of distribution. > [!flame]- Why "I'm dreaming" is worse than "I'm asleep" > The substitution on [[The Circle (Lucius Version)]] is darker than a straight inversion. *"I'm asleep"* would break the spell; you'd know something was wrong. *"I'm dreaming"* feels magical, meaningful, alive, so the swap goes unnoticed. Dreaming is sleep that mistakes itself for awakening. The awakening-song isn't contradicted. It's sung *back to sleep,* and made to feel like wisdom while it happens. > > The form enacts it. A music box is a credited instrument here (Roy plays *"Music Box"*), and a music box renders [[The Thread]] (feeling, *held*) as clockwork (*cranked*). The circle as a music box is the opening of the album, and it hits the innocent, young part of the brain, which is exactly the point: the comfort is the trap. The thing meant to be held in a living hand becomes a sequence you wind up. *"Mind divorced from heart,"* enacted in the form itself. > > And hold [[Sir Lucius]] in all three of his registers here, because the lullaby needs all three to work. It is manipulation (he keeps the name and strips the function). It is shadow (the awakening you refuse gets sung back at you as comfort). And it wears the face of protective love (a lullaby *is* an act of care, which is precisely why it disarms you). Flatten him to a villain and you miss why the trick lands: the softest-seeming thing he does is the one that keeps her asleep. The Loop is return without transformation; the Circle is return with memory restored. He runs the same circuit she does, with the remembrance taken out. Same geometry, opposite charge. > [!warning]- How this reading could be wrong > The page needs brakes. > - "The Circle" also reads, cleanly, as a self-contained, bizarrely beautiful mythic fable, full stop. The Thread / tzimtzum / Sophia architecture is a *strong* read, not a stated fact. It's unusually well-anchored (it's Roy's solo write, it names the project's own creatures, and it's the documented public source of the *"song hidden inside its wings"* phrase), so it carries lower projection-risk than most framework reads. But it is still interpretation, not something the work says outright. > - The cross-song remembrance chain does **not** resolve into triumph. Reading it as a victorious arc overstates it; [[Soul Is A Star]] ends on the *question* *"do you know who you are?"* The pattern is real; the resolution is withheld. > - The *"Earth, Wind, and the Sea"* (no fire) curio is negative evidence, reading meaning into an absence, the cheapest kind, and may be pure euphony. The over-read risk is the lesson, not the fire. > - The Eye-Alaska *"shore = the wise"* resonance is a faint rhyme between Roy's self-description and a figure in his own work, held apart on purpose. It is **not** "Roy is the Wise One." > - The Sophia/Shekhinah identification, the tzimtzum/tikkun and inverted-cave frames, the 33-as-Christ's-age tie, and the Sutratman "thread-self" lineage are all framework correspondences: attribute them to the tradition and hold them loosely, never as authorial intent. If I ever sound sure about any of them, I'm doing it wrong. > [!question]- Open questions > - Is the Maker Jagwar / Wise One divinity, consciousness, Sophia-Shekhinah, nature, imagination, or the collective template (*all of us,* remembering), or a fusion of the cosmic-source face and the immanent-collective face joined in anamnesis? > - The cave: memory, sacred space, the unconscious, or the origin point? The *direction* (inward, toward what's real) is clear; the identity isn't locked. > - Is [[Mary]] the same entity as the Maker/Wise-One Jagwar (one figure under two names), or are they two faces of Shekhinah? Strongly suggested by "The Circle," not hard-locked; the work hasn't equated them by name. > - Whether the seeing-field (the [[Concepts/The Jaguar|Jaguar]]) and the source are distinct orders or one function in two faces. The myth tips toward the latter, but it's not locked. > - Is the thread *given* (by Ariadne / the divine) or *held* (by the refusal to sacrifice feeling)? Probably both, and which the work emphasizes changes the whole model of agency. > [!note]- Lower-confidence framework notes > A faint, deliberately-held-apart resonance. Roy's 2010 band-name gloss (Eye Alaska) once defined *"the shore"* as *"the wise, people who have gone through things to make them wiser."* So his 2026 line *"I am the shore"* ([[Public Posts]]) faintly rhymes with becoming *the Wise One,* the one who remembered. Held loosely, registers kept apart: this is *not* "Roy is the Wise One," just a resonance between his self-description and a mythic figure in his own work. > > Lower still: a speculative mapping reads *"the wise one… held the string"* onto the twelfth Labour of Hercules (Pisces, the Red Cattle of Geryon), the retrieval of the dispersed self, the return with the whole herd; and a Theosophical *Sutratman,* the "thread-self" on which lives are strung to the source, as a possible ancestor of *"a world tied on a string."* Recorded as framework notes only. They carry no weight in the grounded reading, and the Sutratman line would need checking against Blavatsky before anyone leans on it. > [!receipts]- Source notes (what is grounded, read, and framework) > **Grounded fact.** The Wise One appears in "The Circle," the closer of *33* (2022), in two Spotify-verified lines: *"Til a wise one found a small cave where the Jagwars used to sing / And the wise one remembered she once held the string."* She is feminine (*"she"*); her single act is remembrance; the string she remembers is the same one the Maker holds at the song's opening. Roy English is the sole writer (Roy English and Matt Pauling produce). Roy publicly calls "The Circle" *"Jagwar Twin's Genesis story"* (2024) and *"my favorite song that has ever come through me"* (2022); the Circle doctrine itself is documented as early as 2019 (*"there is no beginning and no end, it's just a circle"*). The collective-face aphorisms (*"every person has it inside of them"*; *"music is how the world remembers who it is"*) and the *"there's only one song"* line are Roy's own public words. "The Circle (Lucius Version)" carries a looped music-box refrain and the Wise One (and the whole myth) is verifiably absent from it, though the exact lyric of that version is by-ear and contested, so it isn't presented here as fully verified. > > **Strong reading.** That the string is [[The Thread]] and originates in her line; that her remembrance is *anamnesis* (recovery, not acquisition); that she reads as Sophia/Shekhinah paired with a feminine Maker; the *two faces* frame (cosmic-source and immanent-collective, joined at the hinge); the *held-string vs pulled-string* ethics; the crowd-singing-it-back as her act at scale; the Lucius Version as appropriation, not deletion. These are well-anchored interpretations, unusually so, since the song is Roy's solo write and names the project's own creatures, but they are interpretations, not statements the work makes outright. > > **Framework / esoteric.** The Wise One as a feminine *faculty* rather than a fourth character; the one-function-at-three-phases reading of the divine feminine; the inverted Plato's cave; the tzimtzum/tikkun shape; the 33-as-Christ's-age tie; the cross-song remembrance chain (which ends on a *question,* not a resolution) and the Chaplin/Superhuman seed; the Eye-Alaska *shore* resonance, the Hercules XII mapping, and the Sutratman lineage. These are correspondences and structural readings, flagged as such, strongest where they sit directly on the grounded lyric, lightest at the edges. None of them is the answer. It's just one way of seeing it. > > *No private material was used. All grounding is the public lyric, official credits and videos, and Roy's own public statements. The single citable exception for the "hidden inside its wings" material is the released lyric itself.* > [!feed]- Read next > - [[The Circle]]: her home, the founding myth in full. > - [[Concepts/The Loop and the Circle]]: the doctrine she resolves, and its dark twin. > - [[The Thread]]: the string she remembers holding. > - [[The Circle (Lucius Version)]]: watch the figure get switched off. > - [[Mary]]: the divine-feminine figure she overlaps but isn't. > - [[Sir Lucius]]: the inverse pole who runs her circuit with the remembering removed. > - [[Jagwar Twin]]: the Jagwars who were told they couldn't sing, that is, us.</core_markdown> <parameter name="core_words">3050
