# Sir Lucius — The Inside of the Inside
> **Where the floor goes.** This is the speculation wing for [[Sir Lucius]]: the deep-cut traces and the name-research rabbit holes. None of it is authorial intent, and all of it is labeled. None of it is the answer, it's just how far the string goes if you keep pulling. If you want the grounded figure, that lives on the [[Sir Lucius|main page]].
> [!note]- The earliest traces (Rorrim Ehtni, the 2021 shadow-voice, "I Like to Party")
> **Rorrim Ehtni (2008–2009).** On Eye Alaska's *Genesis Underground,* two song titles credit a fictional author, "Rorrim Ehtni," which is *In the Mirror* spelled backwards, the way a mirror reverses. The album credits Roy (as Brandon Wronski) as sole lyricist; Rorrim Ehtni exists only inside the titles. The mirror-self was already signing the work at around twenty. One title, *"The Legion Night (Rorrim Ehtni Lived),"* carries a phonetic ghost (*devil in the mirror*) and "Legion," from Mark 5: *"My name is Legion, for we are many."* A multiplicity wearing one name, already encoded, which is the whole "master of the many I's" idea eighteen years early. Held as resonance, not as a claim that anyone was authoring "Sir Lucius" in 2008.
>
> **The 2021 shadow-voice (pre-name).** In a long poem Roy shared publicly: *"You're never gunna make it / Spoke the Shadow to the Light / You're never gunna make it / Make it in this world alive."* The Shadow addressing the Light, roughly four and a half years before the named figure. The Dweller does not begin, it accumulates.
>
> **"I Like to Party" (2021–22), the clearest pre-name rendering.** Roy is force-fed cake by jeweled, ringed hands entering from off-screen, escalating to cake smashed across his face, the Lucius mechanism in pastry form, years before *Welcome to the Circus* names it. This one is Lucius-*inspired,* not Lucius-*voiced,* Roy is the object, not the speaker, which is the cleanest example of that distinction. The title card names him in text before the billing ever existed: *"Devil waking up to claim the kingdom."*
> [!note]- The Dweller on the Threshold (the full lineage)
> On the main page the Dweller is a strong reading, not buried speculation, because it is the frame that best organizes everything else. What lives *here* is the lineage and the mechanics. Lucius reads as a **Dweller-on-the-Threshold** figure for Roy: self-generated from accumulated unintegrated material, mirror-anchored, undefeatable by force, growing in proportion to whatever has been disowned. The Dweller does not begin, it accumulates. What happened in 2026 is not Lucius arriving, it is Lucius being *seen.* The tradition runs Bulwer-Lytton (*Zanoni*) → Blavatsky → Steiner (who distinguishes the Dweller who can *become* a guide) → Jung (the Shadow). The arc deliberately keeps three outcomes live, *stop and strip,* *re-order and repair,* *redeem and integrate,* and refuses to collapse to one. Whether the Dweller can become a guide is the open question, held open by design, and it is the same question the main page asks: protector, or thing to outgrow?
> [!note]- The name research (Lucifer / lux / Luke-via-Steiner)
> The name sits in a cluster Roy has pointed toward. **Lucius / lux / Lucifer** share the Latin root for *light,* but his is a light that disorients rather than illuminates: strobe, screens, notifications that fragment attention, against a steady light you can navigate by. Roy also followed *"a Rudolph Steiner rabbit hole with the Gospel of Luke,"* tying the name to **Luke / Loukas** by way of Steiner's lectures, not only to Lucifer. (The pop-culture cousin, Lucius Malfoy, is explicitly the weakest strand of all, a shared light-name and not a source; see [[Jagwar Twin and Harry Potter]].) A Hermes/Thoth thread also flickers, the *Welcome to the Circus* live card asks *"Did Hermes paint his face? I don't know, maybe,"* fusing the face-painter with the trickster-psychopomp who invented letters. Resonant, not asserted. This is the point where certainty is just a tone, not a truth, so hold all of it loosely.
